Overview
Senior Care Assistants provide both direct support and leadership on shift. You will model best practice for Care Assistants, contribute to support plans, and help maintain a safe, structured and empowering environment for the people we support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support adults with daily living, household tasks, meals, shopping and community activities.
- Lead, mentor and support Care Assistants to deliver high-quality support.
- Assist with coordinating daily tasks and activities in supported living and community settings.
- Maintain accurate notes, incident reports and communication logs.
- Respond promptly to changes or concerns in a person’s wellbeing.
- Contribute to person-centred support plans and risk assessments.
Person Specification
- Experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader or experienced Care Assistant ready to progress.
- Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to support and guide junior staff confidently.
- Right to work in the UK and Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is an advantage.
